Of course, everyone knows about our breathtaking beaches and crystal clear, azure waters that beckon like sirens to swimmers, snorkelers, scuba-divers, boaters, and fishermen- but just a few steps from the water's edge, we have some of the finest dining and entertainment in the world- and night life that is second to none.
You may not realize that South Florida offers much, much more- like dozens of golf courses, ex pansive parks and nature preserves, bike trails, and even equestrian centers. We have become a leading center of performing and fine arts, and home to numerous colleges, universities, and cutting edge medical facilities.
No world class city is complete without a few good sports teams to root for, and we have all the bases covered. Our Marlins are the boys of summer- running the bases and knocking the cover off of the ball, the Dolphins provide the most enjoyable football experience in the NFL- tailgating in shirt sleeves and shorts all season long, and the Heat live up to their name burning up the hardwood and backboards in the NBA. We even have a hockey arena for the Panthers to strut their stuff, and lots of asphalt at Homestead-Miami Speedway to let NASCAR and Indy Cars wow us with their high-octane fueled battles.
Since our ocean breezes moderate the usual extremes of weather seen in most of the rest of Florida, this is a place that was designed to be enjoyed all year round.
